Sarahan is located in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude
        of 2,165m. The best time to visit the place is during April to June and
        September To November. Some of the major attractions of Sarahan are

        Lanka Vir Temple and
        Shrikhand Peak to name a few.
         
        How to Reach
         If you are planning to travel by air than the nearest airport to
        Sarahan is Jubbarhatti in Shimla. From Shimla, Sarahan is at a distance
        of 175 kms. So from Shimla you can hire a private taxi to go to Sarahan
        or you can take a bus from Shimla.
         
         Rail is another option you can choose to travel to Sarahan. You can
        take a train to Shimla and from there you can hire a cab or you can
        avail the bus service provided by the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport
        Corporation to Sarahan. There is no as such airport or railway station
        at Sarahan; so, the best option is to travel by road.
         
         Various legends are associated with Bhimakali. It is said that to
        suppress the demons Lord Vishnu and other gods poured their strength to
        a focus and gave birth to Shakti - The goddess of strength called "Adhishakti".
        It is the most famous temple of Sarahan.
         
         If you like adventure sports than there are various options in Sarahan
        like you can opt for trekking. Sarahan is the base for some of
        Himachal's very famous treks and is also the doorway to Kinnaur's
        untrammeled beauty. Some of the famous peaks are Sangla, Badahal, and
        Shrikhand Peak. The timing for trek are between April and June and
        September-October.
