Nepal is definitely an amazing destination to travel. It is not only a perfect holiday home but is also the center for some exciting adventure sports. It is located 5 km from Bhairawa, Gorakpur, India and Nepal border. The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu, which is situated at an altitude of 4,877m to 8,848m. It comprises of eight of the highest 14 summits in the world, which is above the altitude of 8,000m including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and others. On the other hand Nepal mountain region comprises of 64% of total land area. And the last comes the Nepal Terai region, which occupies about 17% of the total land area of the country.

People of Nepal
The population of Nepal is more than 18 million, which constitutes people belonging to different caste and races living in different regions with diverse languages, culture, and dialects. The Gurungs and Magars mainly occupy the west part of the country while the Rais, Limbus and Sunuwars occupy slopes of the eastern hills. The Sherpas live in the Himalayan region. In the capital city of Kathmandu it is the newars who mainly occupy. Among the other ethnic groups there are Satar, Rajvanshis, Tharus, Yadavas, and Dhimals. The major religions of the people of Nepal are Hinduism and Buddhism. Apart from these two religions the next main religion is Islam in Nepal.

Climate conditions of Nepal
Nepal mainly experiences four seasons, i.e. spring, summer, autumn and winter. The spring season is from March to May, while you can experience summer from the month of June to August and after summer comes the autumn, which lasts from September to November. The winter here lasts from December to February. You can travel to Nepal any time of the year. Even in the winters as the climate here is pretty comfortable.

You can reach Nepal by air, rail and road. There are number of flights traveling to and fro from Kathmandu. For rail you can opt for Nepal-Janakpur-Jayanagar Railway (NJJR), which operates a freight and passenger service in the eastern Terai region. For road journey you can avail buses, mini buses and three wheeler tempos, which operates on fixed routes at regular intervals.

What to Carry
You should carry clothes according to the time of travel. However it is advisable to carry both warm and light clothes. No matter when you are traveling but it is important to carry warm clothes if you are traveling to the mountains. Before you head for Nepal it is important to take all your documents along with you.
