The major holidays and the popular public holidays in Bhutan include:

  • Birth Anniversary, Coronation and Death Anniversary of Third King HM (His Majesty) Jigme Dorje Wangchuck.
  • Birthday of HM (His Majesty) Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the current ruler, on 11th to 13th of November.
  • Coronation Day of HM (His Majesty) Jigme Singye Wangchuck, on 2nd of June.
